With Deep Sympathy and Sorrow

It is with deep sorrow that I tell you about the passing of my friend and colleague Gill Johnson of the Gwinnett County Inspections Dept. On Monday morning October 14th I received an email from Joel Rodriguez and he asked me to give me a call regarding Gill he informed me that Gill was not feeling well on Friday and had made an appointment for the doctor on Monday but as it turned out he had received a call from a neighbor of Gill's and that he was informed that Gill has passed away over the weekend. Joel went on to explain that Gill was to do a class for BOAG (Building Officials Association of Georgia) on the following Wednesday Oct. 23rd and asked if I knew anyone who could do it in his absence. I immediately volunteered and felt it was my responsibility to do it as we had worked and disagreed together for so long on code issues who better suited to fill in than I. We held the meeting on the 23rd and it was at the Justice Center in the county building, I don't know how many were present, but it really didn't matter it felt good to do it for my friend. So, I will close with RIP Gill we will miss you and God speed
